Steps to make to make Banana Malpua

  1. First add wheat flour, rava, desiccated coconut powder, sugar powder, cardamom powder and fennel crushed in a bowl and mix well. Now add milk malai / cream, mashed ripe banana and add milk little by little and mix well. Now cover this mixture with a lid and let it rest for 1 hour.
  2. Now we will make sugar syrup. To do this, add sugar and water in a pan, mix and let the gas heat over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves. Now add cardamom powder and saffron string in this syrup and mix it to make a one string syrup and turn off the gas flame.
  3. Now add milk or water again as required in the mixture and make a batter that can be beaten with a spoon. Then heat the ghee in a pan and add the mixture made with a round spoon to it. On a low to medium flame of the gas, the edges of the malpua turn golden, so flip the other side and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Now add this prepared hot malpua dip in warm sugar syrup and soak the banana malpua on both sides for 2 minutes or till it absorbs sugar syrup.
  5. Now our Banana Malpua is ready to serve. Garnished with almonds and pistachio slices. This malpua can also be served with Rabdi. Enjoy your Holi Festival.
